A wide oval with a continuous bridge, milled from eight-millimetre acetate. Heavy enough to stay put, round enough to look soft.

Your frame will be checked, packed and shipped within two working days.
For the first collection we worked with printed proofs instead of renders. Every model was photographed, printed and pinned to the workshop wall, next to portraits and old photo cards.
That showed us what a screen hides: how thick a rim looks on a face, where the bridge catches the light, which acetate turns warm against skin and which goes flat.
Only when the line of the bridge matched the line of the face did the frame go to the mill.

The Frame Society makes sunglasses in thick acetate: wide ovals, aviators and masks. We design from the archive, with old photo cards, instruction leaflets and cases as our source.
Every frame is checked by hand and comes in a leather case, with a cloth and a warranty card with a serial number.
Silhouettes that draw a line across the face.
Eight-millimetre acetate and real leather.
Old print as the starting point for every model.
Two-year warranty and a cloth with every frame.
